Saw some top racing with many groups pushing each other to the line. Carmel Quirk and Luke McKendry were the first early starters across the line with Luke pushing Carmel to a top time of 24:08. Darrel Cross and Steve Quirk dropped Brett Van DerVelden early and pushed each other to a 16:51 . Brettstill managed to run arespectable 17:40 . Mick Bridle had a good run with Georgia Shaw and top junior Tanya Eagle, Mick finished just in front of them and broke his handicap time. Roger Maximiw 18:20 and Jeff Van Den Brand 18:23 pushed Richard Clavarino along who ran his best 5km time of 18:30. Kathryn Ewels 19:12 worked hard with the inform Jason Mulvogue 19:11 and with Sandra Timmer-Arends 19:24 running hard with Matthew Franke 19:22 it was a great result for two females to break 20 minutes in the one night. With new runner Cindy Neilsen running 21:35 , Nicole Morrison 22:55 , Kim Essex 23:01 and Andrea Henderson 23:01 there is a lot of talented female runners beating a lot of male runners. Another group led by Jenny Prucsino27:36,Jackie Nelson 27:37 and Denise Strang 27:41 had a good run together and will all only get better. Handicap breakers were Mick Bridle, Richard Clavarino, Nicole Morrison, Bill Ruhterford, Bob Bickett, Ian Heafield with Sam Frankland the biggest improver running an impressive 21:35 .
