Winter Series 2005 Race 25

39 runners and walkers joined Eran & Nick Schilling down from Queensland for a visit at last Thursday nights run. The freezing conditions certainly reminded them of how cold it can get and obviously kept many runners away. Nick still showed good form even in the unfamiliar conditions and ran the fastest time of 17:26. Jay Masterman-Smith after a busy winter was first home showing he had lost nothing of his running form. Adrian Masterman-Smith also showed he could still move along running 18:53. Justin Masterman-Smith presence was felt at the finish as the timekeeping went off with out a hitch. Anna Cardillo continues to show good form by being the fastest female. Leanne Keating, Jackie Nelson, Marissa Schill and Paula Lucas all continue to run well. In the men Shinichi Taniguchi broke 20 minutes for the second week running. Neil Griffiths also broke the 20-minute mark with Sam Frankland, Steve McLeod and Dominic Keating all coming close. Melissa Jones had her first run back after an operation in January to mend a tendon in her foot.
