A large field of 42 runners turned out for the weekly Thursday night run at Newborough on the 9 th June 2005 . Steve Quirk, Darrel Cross and Brett Van Der Velden ran an outstanding race out in front with only 19 seconds separating the 3 of them. Fastest junior again was Sam Quirk with Luke and Matthew McKendry running well also. Courtney French was the fastest female as well as fastest junior female and is getting closer to the magic 20-minute mark. Cindy Nielsen was fastest female from Kim Essex and Carmel Quirk. Big improvements were from Anna Cardillo who knocked nearly a minute of her pervious best time and Belinda Issell who's times are starting to take a step back in time when she was a feared competitor. New runners Joelene Gathercole and Rhona McLean are also starting to make rapid improvement after just a short time running.
