Race No 1 Australian Securities Commission 5km Course 31/03/2005
Some great times were run by many Harriers last week after a session of 6km courses some pretty tough. Courtney French lead the field home with a great run of 22:23. Fellow junior Tanya Eagle was not far behind in 25:10. Splitting the young girls were old timers John Jervis and Peter Grixti.Ros Nicolson, Pauline Lindsay and Denise Twite all run well to finish in front of the fast group. Daryl Cross led the fast group home with a great run of 16:51. 13 runners in the fast group broke 20 minutes with Jason Mulvogue running 19:14. Juniors Adam Conway 18:20 and Sam Quirk 19:03 were outstanding. Roger Maximiw 17:43 would be confident of a good run in Canberra. Dan Kirby 17:36 just keeps getting faster and Keith Tomholt 18:43 doesn’t forget how to run fast. A special mention to Keith Tomholt as he turns Fifty this Sunday 10 th April. Richard Clavarino was also impressive and what about Nick Macreadie 20:01 and Steve McLoud 20:31 both getting close to breaking 20 minutes. Allen Timmer-Arends 21:09 was a great frist up run after along break and young Brad McAuliffe 21:40 isstarting to find form. Sean Kennedy 22:08is another runner to watch closely as he improves rapidly. Louise McMahon 22:10 and Karen O’Keefe 22:40 times highlight the many talented females we have running with the club. New Runners Seona Conway and Jackie Nelson managed to run almost two minutes faster than they did at the communtiy fun run. Paula Lucas returned for another run and showed she has the talent and detemination to improve.
