Many highlights emerged from last Thursday night run where 49 runners and walkers took on the tough but popular Scales Road 5km course. New runners Marissa Schill and Paula Lucas who both achieved outstanding personal achievements last year each impressed with a 2 minute improvements on this course. Other notable improvers from their recent runs there were Leanne Keating, Cindy Neilsen, Chester Goulter, David Griffiths and Bradley McAuliffe. New runner Kelly Hicks did well with her first run there also.
First on handicap was Melissa Jones who had her best run since having a foot operation 12 months ago. Second was another runner returning from injury Duncan Orr with Barry Summersgill putting in another outstanding run to fill 3rd place. Fastest male was Blair Turnbull with Cindy Neilsen fastest female. Next Thursdays run the 9th February 2006 will be another popular 5km course in Morgan Drive Traralgon South.
